This environmental authority does not authorise environmental harm unless a condition contained within the authority explicitly authorises that harm. Where there is no condition or the authority is silent on a matter, the lack of a condition or silence shall not be construed as authorising harm.

If there is any inconsistency between a standard environmental condition and an additional condition in this environmental authority, the additional condition prevails to the extent of any inconsistency.

Land disturbance Excluding campsites and one costean in accordance with condition V7, the holder of the environmental authority must ensure that the total area of land disturbed within any since disturbance location does not exceed 1,000m- at any time.

Costean The one costean with a disturbance area not exceeding 30,000m2 is authorised within the area identified in Appendix 1 Location of proposed costean on EPC2177.

The environmental authority holder must not carry out activities in a Category A or B Environmentally Sensitive Area. Prior to carrying out mining activities in a Category C Environmentally Sensitive Area, consultation must be held with the relevant administering authority to determine if additional conditions are necessary.

Activities involving machinery must not be carried out within 1km of a Category A environmentally sensitive area.

Seismic Surveying The environmental authority holder is not authorised to undertake 2D or 3D seismic surveys within 500m of a Category B environmentally sensitive area.

Topsoil stripping within 500m of any Category B environmentally sensitive areas must be limited to the sump area. Where topsoil is removed it must be stockpiled for respreading at the completion of use.

The environmental authority holder is authorised to undertake rehabilitation work within 500m of any Category B environmentally sensitive areas as per the rehabilitation requirements of this environmental authority.

Burning of vegetation is not permitted.

Road and Tracks -- General The environmental authority holder is not authorised to construct any new roads or access tracks within 500m of any Category B environmentally sensitive areas.

Campsites Campsites must not be established within 500m of any Category B environmentally sensitive areas.

Rehabilitation Rehabilitation of exploration drill holes and access tracks must be undertaken in accordance with requirements of the Eligibility criteria and standard conditions for exploration and mineral

Rehabilitation of disturbance within the 500m buffer zone of any Category B environmentally sensitive areas must be completed as soon as practicable, but no longer than 3 months after completion of the disturbance activity. Permit Environmental Authority

Reporting An annual report must be prepared each year and submitted with each annual return. The report must include a map identifying all exploration activities undertaken within 500m of any Category B environmentally sensitive areas to date. The map is to clearly distinguish between proposed, completed and rehabilitated mining activities to demonstrate compliance with this environmental authority.

All waste must be removed and disposed of offsite. END OF CONDITIONS Permit Environmental Authority Definitions Key terms and/or phrases used in this document are defined in this section. Where a term is not defined, the definition in the Environmental Protection Act 1994, its regulations or environmental protection policies must be used. If a word remains undefined it has its ordinary meaning. Authority means environmental authority (resource activities) under the Environmental Protection Act 1994. Costean means a trench or pit across the seam or ore body for exposing, sampling and mapping the ore body. Disturbance means any area that has had its natural state altered by the action or interference of carrying out an activity associated with the mining project. Endangered regional ecosystem means a regional ecosystem identified as endangered in the database maintained by the administering authority called `Regional Ecosystem Description Database' contained regional ecosystem numbers and descriptions. Environmental authority means an environmental authority under Chapter 5 of the Environmental Protection Act 1994. Environmental authority holder means the principal holder of this environmental authority.
