   The environmental authority does not take effect until the grant of the tenure to the environmental authority holder, or until each environmental authority holder has become a holder, under the Mineral Resources Act 1989, of each of the relevant mining tenements.

2. G2

   The conditions of this environmental authority are inforce until a surrender of the authority is accepted pursuant to the Environmental Protection Act 1994. The conditions apply unless an amendment is approved pursuant to the Environmental Protection Act 1994.

   The environmental authority holder must comply with each of the Standard Environmental Conditions contained in the Code of Environmental Compliance for Exploration and Mineral Development Projects, except Condition 13, which is replaced by the conditions in this environmental authority. 4. G4

   The holder of the environmental authority must not carry out activities in a Category A or 8 Environmentally Sensitive Area. Where no reasonable alternative exists, activities involving machinery near a Category A or 8 Environmentally Sensitive Area must be carried out using the following order of preference: 1. Pre-existing areas of significant disturbance ; 2. Undisturbed areas more than 100 m from the ESA; 3. Undisturbed areas less than 100 m from the ESA.

   Drilling and other low impact activities such as seismic test work, maintenance, monitoring and rehabilitation activities may be undertaken within the buffer zone of a Category A or B Environmentally Sensitive Areas and Category C Environmentally Sensitive Areas. Drilling activities undertaken in the buffer zone of Category A or B Environmentally Sensitive Areas must be undertaken in accordance with requirements specified in conditions A6 to A 10

   Drilling or seismic grid 1. Spacing of new gridlines outside the area enclosed by hachured lines on the attached map (see Figure 1: Exploration Area) is not less than 500m apart. 2. Spacing of new gridlines inside the area enclosed by hachured lines on the attached map (see Figure 1: Exploration Area) may be reduced to 25m. 3. Gridlines are to be surveyed in and must not be cleared to line-of-sight.

   Drill sites 1. Operational areas must be no greater than 1000 m2. 2. Individual sump surface areas must be no greater than 20m2. Multiple sump systems may be utilised provided that clearing in addition to the abovementioned authorised operating 1000m2 areas is not required. 3. Topsoil stripping is limited to sump areas, drill pads and access areas. 4. Clearing of mature trees is prevented or minimised. 5. Drill pads must be rehabilitated with species endemic to the Environmentally Sensitive Areas and in a way that reduces erosion in the shortest possible time. 6. Rehabilitation of drill sites, apart from those areas currently being utilized for the mining activity , must take place progressively and must commence as soon as practicable after ceasing the mining activity at that drill site. 8. G8

   Tracks 1. Spacing between new tracks outside the area enclosed by hatched lines on the attached map (see Figure 1: Exploration Area) is not less than 500m. 2. Existing access and fence line tracks are used where possible and any new tracks are constructed by linking natural clearings where possible. 3. Track construction involving blade clearing of estab lished ground cover vegetation and/or clearing of mature trees is prevented or minimised. 4. Line-of-sight clearing is prevented or minimised. 5. Construction of new crossings of major natural drainage lines is prevented or minimised.

   Other land disturbance 1. Exploration does not involve costeaning or bulk sampling in buffer zones of Environmentally Sensitive Areas. 2. Establishing exploration camps will not involve clearing in buffer zones of Category A or B Environmentally Sensitive Areas.
