The conditions of this environmental authority are in force until a surrender of the authority is accepted pursuant to the Environmental Protection Act 1994. The conditions apply unless an amendment is approved pursuant to the Environmental Protection Act 1994.

The environmental authority holder is to give the administering author a financial assurance in the amount and form and at a time required by the administering authority.
- G3
If a `valid from' date is not stated on this document, the environmental authority takes effect on grant, under the Mineral Resources Act 1989, of each of relevant mining tenements.

The environmental authority holder must comply with each of the Standard Environmental Conditions contained in the Code of Environmental Compliance for Mining Lease Projects and the Code of Environmental Compliance for Exploration and Mineral Development Projects (January 2001).

Prior to carrying out any mining activities, the holder of the Environmental Authority must consult with the Environmental Protection Agency to identify the specific values that must be protected or preserved within the area identified as an Environmentally Sensitive Area.

The holder of the Environmental Authority is required to undertake a survey of the mining tenures to delineate and map the environmentally sensitive areas in order to accurately impose buffer zones.

The holder of the Environmental Authority must establish a 100 m buffer zone around the environmentally sensitive areas known as the Kounpee Swamp and the Conservation Areas designated as (1) and (2) on Attachment 1, Significant Areas for Conservation, where all mining activities will be excluded.

The survey plans outlining the proposed buffer zones must be submitted to the Administrating Authority.

The holder of the environmental authority is authorised to carry out standard mining activities on the relevant mining leases within 2 km of, but not in, a Category A Environmentally Sensitive Area or within 500m of a Category B Environmentally Sensitive area provided that activities do not cause any significant environmental harm.

Condition G4 to G9 are conditions that override the Standard Environmental Conditions (SEC) 14 to the extent that SEC 14 prohibits the holder of the environmental authority carrying out mining activities within 2 km of an Category A Environmentally Sensitive Area and within 1 km of a Category B Environmental Sensitive Area.
