How to use the Commodities tab
  1. Pick a commodity. Groups (gold, copper, coal, critical minerals…) take in every related code; single commodities are listed after them. A tenure counts if the register lists the commodity for it, or, for "all minerals" tenements, if GSWA reports and drilling on it point to that target.
  2. Choose a view. Where it's held shades the map by hectares held in each cell (about 27 km across). New ground shades by tenures lodged in the last 6, 12 or 24 months (12 to start), which shows where the new interest is. Open ground shows 5 km squares with historic drilling where most of the ground isn't held or off-limits (ranked by drill holes, or by holes that hit grade when gold or copper is the focus), and ground released in the last year as cyan dashed outlines.
  3. See what was drilled. In Open ground, click the open part of a square: every drill hole in it appears where it was drilled, coloured by gold or copper grade or by year, with Geological Survey bores (petroleum, water, coal) as white rings. The panel lists the best holes with company, year, depth, assays and the report. Click a released outline for what's been drilled inside it, then Show drill holes and bores.
  4. Use the list below. Regions (geological basins and provinces) are ranked for the commodity; click one to zoom to it. In Open ground the list ranks the best squares; click a row to go there and see its holes.
  5. Keep watch. Watch the commodity in one region, or draw an area on the map; the changes are emailed to you the next morning.

The filters on the Tenures tab (type, status, area and so on) also apply here. The counts follow the same "listed or inferred" rule as the Tenures tab's commodity filter.

Watch tenures, companies, commodities or areas. Each morning you get one email with the changes that match, sent to .
